Anti-Semitic                                                Personally, I think that anti-Semitic is when someone is racist towards Jewish culture and/or people.

I think freeland does think the play is anti Semitic as as you can see in the article he mentions very discriminative parts such as “he is shown as obsessed by money” and ” as the dog Jew did utter in the streets, my daughter o my ducats o my daughter” I believe he does say this as it is believed that in today’s culture there is a very racist stereotype towards Jews which is that they are very good with money.

If the play was anti Semitic I think we should still read it as Shakespeare uses very good English in which we could learn from also it is good to know what happened in them times
